Be sure to vote for your Oscar picks with our Academy Award Quick Vote!

This year's Academy Award nominees were announced Tuesday morning, meaning the weeks leading up to February 26 will be filled with rumors and speculation. Michel Hazanavicius' "The Artist" and Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" lead the list with 10 and 11 nominations respectively, but there were plenty of movies with multiple nominations. "Moneyball" and "The Descendants" did well, allowing Brad Pitt and George Clooney to vie for Best Actor.

We put together a Quick Vote poll for the major categories so you can find your way around the nominations and get involved in the discussion right away. If you'd like to see a full list of categories and nominations -- Supporting Actors, Cinematography, Costume Design -- the official Oscars website has it here.

I know this, but since large protions were computer generated, rather than pure animation or claymation, maybe that was their reasoning. Or, maybe it just did not get enough votes for the final ballot.

Personally, whatever technique was used to make Polar Express, completely skeeves me out, so I have a hard, hard time watching it. It is nearly human, but not quite-UGH, skeevy. LOL

I can't pick either Puss in Boots or Rango, I have seen both and both actors do great job with their characters there wasn't a moment where I wasn't laughing in either one. Love both movies hopefully one of those will win!

A very good, and very funny, animated movie about a talking cat with Antonio Banderas's voice? What more could anyone want?

But I still think 'Ponyo' deserves some credit.

“Ponyo” came out in 2008 and so doesn’t qualify for 2011 awards. It was an excellent movie, though, as is anything by Studio Ghibli.

I must admit, I had not yet seen "Puss in Boots" (surprising, as it grossed the most), but I really liked "Rango".

This was different from the animated films you usually see these days.

This movie deserves an award. The animation is just BEAUTIFUL! Nevermind the fact that this is lightyears ahead of the ones on this list in terms of, well, everything. Bloody Americans are missing out on something seriously awesome, if they haven't read Tintin. =w=

I agree with you. I've read his graphic novels and saw his animation show on HBO, years ago. This movie told a great moral story. Hopefully, the next TinTin movie will still be made and once introduced to the characters, people everywhere, will warm up to it. I know that the movie has done well in Europe.

Okay, as a mom, I've had to sit through these movies and it's "Puss in Boots" hands down. Or should be. Rango was okay but I looked at my watch a couple of times, which I do when I get bored. The others are awful. I thought I would die before KFP2 was done and the others deserve no mention at all.

The two DreamWorks films were good but it's Rango that got the tongues wagging. Haven't seen Chico & Rita and A Cat In Paris but in any case the film that deserves the win didn't get nominated
wagging chico rita cat paris case film deserves win nominated
