This year's Academy Award nominees were announced Tuesday morning, meaning the weeks leading up to February 26 will be filled with rumors and speculation. Michel Hazanavicius' "The Artist" and Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" lead the list with 10 and 11 nominations respectively, but there were plenty of movies with multiple nominations. "Moneyball" and "The Descendants" did well, allowing Brad Pitt and George Clooney to vie for Best Actor.

Take everything he did in Shrek, and then take away Shrek and you had the whole movie. There was nothing new or interesting.
How To Train Your Dragon should have been nominated, even though old.. one of my fav movies of all time
The person whom I had actually responded to is from the UK, so that may explain it.
But nevertheless; the film hasn't yet been released in the US, and the Oscars are an American award show... so the point is still valid.
And again; it hasn't been released in the US yet, and the Oscars are an American award show, so it didn't 'make the cut' in time.
Perhaps it will be nominated next year.
