Which is your favourite film soundtrack?

Music gives that special 'something' to a film, as I'm sure most people will agree. If the soundtrack is terrible, it takes away from the film. If it's great, it'll make it that bit better.

I personally adore the Lord of the Rings soundtrack. Not just because I'm a fan of the films and books, but because Howard Shore created something special. I also love the soundtracks of 'Les Choristes' and 'Amelie'. What soundtracks can you listen to in their own right?

    There are too many to choose from, Chariots of Fire stand out - anything by John Williams, I'll take Star Wars though JAWS' music was most integral to the film. The winner for me - see if you can guess my age - Woodstock, the movie!

    Amelie is definitely on my iTunes and top is one of my favorite soundtracks. The soundtracks to The Last of the Mohicans, Titanic and Dr. Horrible are awesome, too!

    I am a complete goof for all music as it inspires so much feelings. Motion picture soundtracks are especially designed to work in those emotional string to underscore the message of the film. For this reason, I would have a hard time picking just one.

    The short list, however, would include:

    Dances with Wolves
    Bladerunner
    1492: Conquest of Paradise
    All of the Star Wars Films
    Star Trek II - The wrath of Khan and
    Star Trek III - The Search for Spock
    Almost anything created by Danny Elfman for Tim Burton

    There are too many. The best I could do is tell you my current listening choice which would be the soundtrack for the movie Observe and Report which by the way is a hilarious movie.
