    I was going to guess that as well until I found out in Sir Lanka the Buddhist believers persecuted the minority religions there.

    Pagan and Wicca are the same thing, only Wiccans practice Magick. Healing spells, purity, cleansing, things like that.

    It is my opinion that all organized religions have done some harm in preventing the advancement of human potential, but I would also add that the Abrahamic religions are by far the worst.

    They never really tell you the truth on violence, meaning all acts are okay and means something to those performing them as a "regular" and essential act in the course of their ritual or performance or duty. You never say never and that word called "always" will eat your lunch! Pagans believe in many somethings and at least one of them would require a pound of someones 'flesh' and you know that someone would love to please someone and get then a pound or two or a pint to a gallon of red stuff. They call it love!

    I have yet to find a religion that has not at one point in its past been violent.

    At different points in time All have been more or less violent, however I think Islam and Christendom are equally violent and both are by far the most violent. Of all the ones I have seen I think the least violent and most humorous have been the Pastafarianismist.

    I think you mean Jainism. Jainist temples take centuries to build because they move the dirt little by little to avoid harming the creatures.

    no religion is violent its the people in it,any that are fanantic's are violent. I believe in JESUS CHRIST & GOD but I was raised that way,if you are of a different culture you may believe differently it is not up to me to say you are wrong,the main thing is if you are a good person who does not go out of his or her way to hurt others.

    My parents believe in buddhism and it seems to be the most nonviolent religion. But people are violent because they choose to be, not because of their religion

    Check out the history of Islam.. When they spread from Arabia in the 7th century, anyone who did not become Moslem, became a corpse.The tenets of that faith allow this to happen. Christians killing others is not part of the main part of the faith.

    You've read only the Old Testament, where that activity took place. Maybe you missed the parts where God cwas there for his chosen people and allowed things to happen to those who didn't listen to either Him or His chosen prophets.

    But if God is so loving, and if he loves all his children, why would he let anything happen to anyone? Your God is not merciful if he says to kill everyone who isn't Christian, or if he says people who aren't Christian are going to hell. It shouldn't matter if you believe one thing or the other. When you die, you get your punishment 3-fold, then move on to better places. Not burn for all eternity.

    Tell me this: If an Atheist were to live a good life; not kill, steal, or anything like that, the Atheist goes to hell. But if a Christian were to do that, then beg for forgiveness, then they go to heaven? I don't think so, scooter...

    If an Atheist lived that kind of life that you mention, then the chances are that God would surprise them with forgiveness and let them in. As far as Christians killing non-Christians, that was a decision on the part of the Nobles who were looking to conquer and divide up the Holy Land into fiefdoms for themselves.. Scooter is the wrong nickname for someone past the age of 65!

    Anyways, so you think that if there is a person, described as the Atheist I described, who is of another religion (Pagan, Islam, Buddha) they should go to hell? Nope.

    Honestly, no disrespect intended, I don't need Christianity. It is pointless and stupid, in my opinion, and I am just fine with Paganism. This is what works for me, and that is what works for you. :) So, I wish you well on your journey.
