Incredibly dangerous and stupid. The rest of us can't even take a "survival of the fittest" attitude about people who do this as like with drunk driving, they tend to take a few of us out as well.

It makes me mad when i am overtaking someone and then someone who is in a rush is tailgating.
Just a touch on the brake give them the message.

Yes, it is, and I find it more dangerous. Tailgating is careless, but it very rarely results in a fatal collision.

I would say that tailgating does result in serious accidents or deaths, when you think that a 30mph you travel 44 ft a second you are to close it will hurt,at 70 mph you are traveling at 102.66 feet per second hiting a car at that speed will kill.
Think the two are just has bad.

A collision at a close range is far less dangerous than one that had a lot of time to build up speed.

Close range, if you hit a car by tailgating at 70 you will die or get hurt badly.

If the tailgater is doing 70 mph he will hit the car in front at 70 have a place where you can view deaths that have3 happend because of tailgating.
Very rarely reults in serious accidents! ask most police and emergency crew if they will agree with you.
The two of them are bad
If have seen people tailgating at 40/50/60/70/ and more on the whole people do go slower while texting not that makes it less dangerous.
You and me having this debate is like saying which is the most dangerous a sledge hammer to the head or a axe to the head.

Statistically, texting while driving has a higher fatality rate and is considered a more serious crime by the law. Regarding the sledgehammer and the axe, both kill you with a near 100% fatality rate, so that's kind of a moot point.
