I really cant see how these bands can be put up against one another. All from different genres....Pop, Punk and radio friendly crap!
The Runaways by far are the best. They may not have had a long run of it but they had the rock and roll spirit and went on in solo careers to keep that flame burning!

Just a note - Suzi Quatro was the first female rock band leader/singer/guitarist, & had a hit with "Can the Can" in 1973, four years before the Runaways put out their album.

of the bands listed, it's The Go-Gos hands down. They were FAR better songwriters than the Runaways, and better singers. Their debut Beauty And The Beat is still a great ride, nearly 30 years later.

Walk like an elephant, hazy shade of sunshine... The Bangles made some great music.

I liked the other bands as well, but the Bangles deserve the title.
