I like both series, but I also think both of them are overrated. Which one is more so? Or are they overrated at all? Comment!

Twilight started as a shit book. Which then turned into a shit movie. Hence causing the mass sensation of Twi-hards, and Twi-tards.

Who the hell wants Twilight perfume? what the hell can it smell like other than blood? Who the hell wants a T-shirt with 'Edward Cullen's' face on it.... fugly shit.

Honestly people. Twilight is overrated.
At least Harry Potter has a story line and an author that can string together coherent, and legitimate sentences.
Not that anyone wants to read about Stephanie Meyer's wet dream anyway....

Because it is very poorly written. The writing is horrendous, even Stephan King agrees. There really is no plot other than "OMG EDWARD IS SO HAWT". And the charecters are terrible. Bella is whiny and pathetic. Edward is abusive and Jacob is a pedophile. The rest of them are cardboard cutouts and are steryotypes. The messages in this series is vile. It's telling girls that they are worhtless without a man. It's saying that women should have no ambition other for them to have kids. Its not a good book at all.

Just take a look at the merchandise. Body glitter with Edward's gonnaeatchoo face on the label. An actual ripoff of a perfume. Tacky jewellery. Harry Potter had its name attached to some crap merchandise, but it was never quite this bad.

And then there's the fans! I've never met a more insane group in my life. I know they're not all mental, but the crazies seem to outnumber the normal people. You can't criticise the series in the slightest without having rabid little girls try to maul you over the internet. Not even when it's legitimate constructive criticism (if she'd just listen to it!) rather than just insulting Meyer's writing.

While I think both are really overrated Twilight takes the cake.Harry Potter is actually well written where as Twilight is just a pile of crap.I have never met anyone who hasn't thought Harry Potter was fantastic.My friend who used to be a huge Twilight nerd and thought HP was stupid just read HP and now she is completely in love with it.

To some it might be a little scary. For you know. Little kids. The fight scene to me was so cool! Oh. and how could you say there was zero romance? What about the kissing scene, the dance scene, etc.? You get my point.

You Don't want to know what I think but i'll tell ya: I hate the twilight series, the movie that is out AND the movies that will come out of twilight! But you know what, the books hp and twilight are both about completely different things so how could you compare them. Twilight focuses on romance while the hp series focuses on adventure!

Think about it. Harry Potter is about a boy who finds out he is a wizard, does some spells, and becomes a hero. It depends on the person. I just think wands are getting a little old. Just trying something new, but dont get me wrong, I do like Harry Potter.

twilight is no where near the best. Your statement that all girls want to fall over Edward is ridiculous. He is abusive and controling. I wouldn't want him stalking me. No normal self respecting girl would fall for Edward. The only horror I can think of in this book is the terrible way its written.

HP isn't just a love story, JK Rowling created her own world and the story is very original. It's overall just a more epic series.
Not that Twilight isn't an amazing series though.

Harry Potter was what first got me interested in reading,, overdramatic as it sounds, those books shaped a good portion of who I am. Without reading those books, I wouldn't've gotten interested in writing, and now that's what I want to do for a living :]
