But from what I've heard from my boyfriend, I think I'd like minecraft better simply because of the creepers. Terraria doesn't seem to have enemies that cool (so far anyway).
I got Minecraft when it was still in Alpha and have played it occasionally since then but I've never been very impressed with it. The world creation is cool, but otherwise it's just going through a hassle to get different colored blocks that you can stack.
I just got Terraria and already I can tell that there is far more to do. I like the sense of progress I get in this game and that I don't have to worry about my tools degrading. I know part of the point of Minecraft is that you can do whatever you want, but it's just too aimless for my liking and there's no motivation to do anything.
Minecraft got boring after I realized that rather than challenge, the game is designed around monotony in order to get the materials you need to build. An artificial and unfun way of increasing the play-time.
I'm sure my gamer boyfriend knows more than you, noob.
