Roland. Never fails. But for acoustic sets, Di'Amico.

I play an electronic kit most of the time. Roland produces amazing electronic sets. Di'Amico produces amazing acoustic/traditional sets.

a\And thats a facty! They're just sp spendy--i tested my new snare--against a pearl on a pearl set i had--to 27 friends and people--on FB and live-all said my new one sounded better--they thought it was a pearl--granted they have very very nice sounding drums & snares as of recent--and have for quite awhile--but 27 out of 27--said..LUDWIG snare sounded best by far--unless i just got a GEM!! ;):)

It's really not a matter of who makes "the best" drums. It depends on what type of sound the drummer prefers, I'm partial to Tama.

I run sound at a venue in Philly (The Grape Room). We have had a Tama Star Classic as the house kit for 10 years. Do the math...5 bands a night, 6 days a week for a decade. The kit still sounds incredible.
