Ryan's response is just touching and genuine. Not saying the others aren't, but for some reason Seacrest's response brings a tear to the eye.

Dick Clark, the producer and host of "American Bandstand" and "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve," passed away on Wednesday of a massive heart attack following a medical procedure at Saint John's Health Center. As the nation mourns the loss of one of it's best presenters, friends and admirers alike are taking to Twitter to express their sorrow and thank him for his legacy.
Ryan Seacrest, who has co-hosted "Rockin' Eve" with Clark for the last six years, tweeted, "I am deeply saddened by the loss of my dear friend Dick Clark. He has truly been one of the greatest influences in my life." Michael Bloomberg, Mayor of New York City, where "Rockin' Eve" takes place, wrote, "Dick Clark's spirit will always live on in Times Square & the hearts of millions of New Yorkers."
Larry King wrote, "Dick Clark was a great friend, true legend, & a master journalist. Nobody did what he did better. It was a pleasure to be in his company," and Katie Couric called him "America's Oldest Teenager." The New York Daily News has a few more. the end
On a side note:
He will be missed.
I grew up with Rockin' New Years Eve. You will be sorely missed, but you will NEVER be forgotten.

Dick Clark was a Rock 'n' Roll Radio/TV icon with an influence on pop culture for more than 50 years. Rest in peace. Personal Note: Dick Clark produced a TV special for us back in 1997. I am very proud of the acoustic performance from that show.
