I have quite a few good memories about pop-corn on the stove. Those were beautiful days.

I used to do it all the time, I'd get the flavored oil and pop pop pop! That was in the late 90's. I think I'm going to get the stuff to do it tonight! My kids will love it!

About a year ago. My sister and I tried it..and we almost burned down the house. Now we're sticking to regular microwave popcorn.

Jiffy Pop. Nothing better than hearing and feeling that aluminum scraping across burners.

None of the answers apply~~so I have to lie to respond!

Honestly, it was about 5 or 6 weeks back and my children went bonkers for it. I got out the old heavy pan and put a clear lid on it so that my littlest guy could watch the action (safely from his dad's arms, of course!)

It reminded me of when I was little and my dad would make it every Saturday evening (with pink lemonade) while we watched The World of Disney. Memories...I can only hope I am imprinting some like that on my children. : ) Great question!ne of the

I think when Jiffy Pop first came out... up until that point, I'm not sure I'd ever had popcorn... But we bought it to see how the Jiffy Pop thing worked.

Actually I do have a clue. I use the Whirley Pop Popcorn popper. With coconut oil and Tutti Fruity popping corn from Oregon. It is the best for popcorn.
On movie night I have to make several batches for the family. With lots of butter and salt.

I tell you it is the BEST! Beats air poppers, Microwave and jiffy pop. Friends come over and ask, 'Are you making popcorn?'

If it is from Oregon, it HAS to be good. Oops, I think my bias is showing! *lol*

I've tried a number of different popping corns and nothing, and I mean nothing, beats Tutti Frutti Farms in Oregon. They don't have a web site. I'll get the information and post.

Actually about two weeks ago. I still make popcorn the old fashioned way, on the stove. Its easy and the popcorn tastes better. Puts microwave popcorn to shame.
