When Is a Band Too Old to Rock?

When you lower them into their graves... or when they decide they've had enough.

The thing is no band is too old to rock. They may be 100 years old and still have it lol

when they brake up then get back together and then brake up again . . .

When they physically cannot lift their instruments anymore. As long as you do it until you die, you always will rock!

I don't think simply knowing about something is an issue, though. Unless you know about it because you were alive at the time and watching it happen on the news. In which case it's time to put the KISS replica double-neck AXE guitar down... and slowly step away from the stage. :)

One is never too old for anything.

I think when the band itself thinks its too old to perform, that's when they are too old. However, they can still contribute to the music industry until they die. Just look at some of the great country guitarists who the young ones wanted them in on their sessions. I think if you are truly talented in the music field, you will never retire or be put out to pasture.

Yes, people can still be creative when they become seniors. We saw The Who during the Super Bowl, those geezers rocked. Musicians have been able to create new music into their senior years.

When they get too old to play them. I took my wife to see Elton John and Billy Joel, and while both of them can still play the hell out of a piano, Elton didn't sound great to great, Billy Joel had to sing a lot of the harder notes of Sir Elton's songs. Great concert though, too many good songs not to be.
