things get too out of hand and players take things to the next level.

That level tends to include some extremely dirty moments, which can include
anything from cheap shots to actually spitting on one another.

It will likely never be something that goes away, so this list will only
begin to grow as athletes get caught up in the heat of the action—or
their plain stupidity.

What's (what is) is singular but moments is plural. Improper verb-noun agreement. It should be "What're" (what are) or it should be moment, not moments. That's about as basic as grammar gets.

I met Holyfield when i was younger C: He picked me up and gave me a signed boxing glove and let me play with his earring. The Fan had it coming, Lambert didn't stop anybody from scoring, Kermit just reacted on instincts and Steve Moore deserved what he got. Biting a guys ear off is just D-I-R-T-Y in every sense of the word.

I remember watching the Holyfield/Tyson fight now Im definately not justifying Tyson biting the guy's ear off but I see why he was so pissed if you recall Holyfield was constantly headbutting Tyson trying to get a stoppage of the fight due to the cut on Tyson's eye. And the ref just wouldn't call it. So I'm not saying he should have bit him........ BUT...... I understand

I think what's going on right now. The "Bounty Policy" that has gotten the New Orlean's Saints into a boatload of trouble and now the Washington Redskins. Players being paid a bounty if they take out an opposing player. That is absolutely unbelievable.

I personally think SpyGate for New England is a bigger issue. They blatantly cheated. Players have been going after other players since the games inception. Players rarely or just about never, purposely go out to maim another player.

College players aren't paid any money, but are encouraged to give hard hits and are rewarded.

Helmet stickers are prestigious

The difference is, the Saints were paid a bonus if they could "take out" a player. It is alleged that $10,000 was paid for the player who caused Brett Favre to get injured in a play-off game. He ended up with several concussions as I recall.

It was the New Orleans Coach who is being investigated and then he moved to the Red Skins where allegedly the "Bounty" continued and now they are being investigated as well.

They don't earn stickers for hits, it's for plays like turn overs, interceptions, 100 yards rushing, receiver catches, fumble recoveries those type plays

Yup, the bone structure of his face detached from his skull and suffered from a cerebral concussion, broken jaw and nose. He was leaking blood and spinal fluid into his skull capsule. His skull was fractured in such a way that Tomjanovich said he could taste the spinal fluid leaking into his mouth.
