We know, we know. It's the year of the tablets. Following after the iPad 2 and Kindle Fire, Barnes and Noble's Nook Tablet is an e-reader/tablet hybrid with a snappy LCD display and a $250 price tag.
Nintendo 3DS

Neither a tablet, e-reader or smartphone, the Nintendo 3DS is kind of the underdog of this list -- but no less important. The portable gaming console is three-dimensional and gets you free WiFi at certain locations.

Despite the passing of Steve Jobs, Apple's co-founder and one of the country's leading innovators in technology, 2011 has still been a pretty prosperous year as far as cutting-edge tech gadgets go.

For starters, there was the release of the iPhone 4S, the latest smartphone by Apple that's actually equipped with your very own virtual personal assistant. Her name is Siri and she's actually pretty sassy -- we're sure you've heard of her. Then, there was a percolation of new tablets -- with the more-improved iPad 2, Amazon's Kindle Fire and Barnes and Noble's Nook Tablet. And who can forget about those gamers? With the Nintendo 3DS, gaming enthusiasts could experience a portable, 3D experience -- and even snag some free WiFi, depending on their location.

But, as you all know by now, there can only be one winner. So, put on your tech-savvy hats and take the technology test: what do you think was the best tech gadget of 2011?

Deffinatly the 4S yes each one of these things made a good contribution, but they excell in a single catagory and meant for just one purpose(minus the iPad) nook is for reading, nintendo for playing, kindle also for reading. But the 4S can do all kinds of many different things which in my opinion gives it the leading jump on the rest. A definate good multitasker for anyone. Two thumbs up.

Of Course the I Phone 4S is taken over. I like the Bionic better as a more complete phone/computer, and when the Motorola Bionic/Razor, using the Android Platform has a better "Talkability Hands Free Program" I believe the I-Phones will go dead in the water. Regardless both Phones Take the Gadgets of the Year Award with the edge going to Mr. Jobs.

I have an iPad and a MacBook Pro. But the iPad 2 is by far the best out of these choices. There are probably more votes for iPhone than iPad cause less ppl can afford iPads. But there still the greatest!!! :D

None of the above."TEXTING!!!" WooooHooooo!!!! My Motorola "Flip Phone" has "Text"!!!! Now instead of just recieving and making calls.....I can TEXT important info. re; selling items, work stuff, etc. That's all i use my phone for..calling, recieving calls and a text 4 times/week!! WooHoo!!!!! Who needs all the other crap on a phone? That's what my laptop is for when i have time AFTER work!
