What would be the best cable/Internet service provider?

Before I moved I had charter, but now it's not available in my current area. My area had a snowstorm recently and the cable and Internet has been ( mostly ) turned off. I've gone by the recent gas station for gas and there was a comcast truck with a worker sleeping in it ( my current provider is comcast ). I've tried calling comcast but they dont do anything to help. Also, they only give me Internet and cable for an hour each day ( it's been like this since the storm). I'm thinking of switching but I'm not sure which company is the best for service.

Verizon fiber optic, faster than cable, can link I-pods/pads through your router.reply - hunkster 2011/11/05 22:13:59im in great britain so cant advise you ! we have alot of companies here ! aswell for it ! even mobile phone networks do broadband ! here !reply
