No flashing bright lights or dozens of back up dancers...just a beautiful song with beautiful choreography and beautiful story telling. Pink has pure raw talent, she did an amazing job. And the chemistry between her and that guy was great.

I was so impressed by Pink's performance, it was real as the music video, I even wondered if she was ever hurt by her dance partner in any of the routines. the chemistry was outstanding, I almost thought the guy could replace her hubby. It was bitter/sweet dramatic and romantic at the same time

You can't cultivate a generation of obedient slaves by letting them hear the music of America's modern golden age. The background noise in our minds can either be influenced by good music or rendered stupid with cultural dissonance. What plays in the background of your mind helps shape what you do. I think the evidence speaks for itself today.

Remember this guy? No way in Hell he could make a living performing today!

I'd heard the name "Jack Jones," perhaps from my mother, so I decided to Google him. Although it says Jones won two Grammy Awards [not that this necessarily connotes "good" music!], I don't know how much musical respect I can give to the guy who sang theme song for "The Love Boat!"

Forget the Love Boat theme. Jones had many big hits but, listen to his iconic big hit, "Wives and Lovers." Very sexist lyrics and I totally dig it! Beautiful and very complex orchestra arrangement with many interacting layers.

He was the tail end of mid-century modern crooners before the British invasion and the Beatles.

I can't say I'm a fan of many of them, but most of them had great showmanship. They could either lip-sing pretty well or could tactfully manage both their vocal cords and their feet. (that's impressive for me, because I can only manage my feet a little while I sing.) P!nk's interpretive dance was nice and Psy brought me my customary giggles at the ridiculousness of his dancing and strangely catchy song. (I didn't watch the AMA's, just the clips.)
