This question is part of our "Best of 2011" series. Vote on them all!
It's been a big year for singers this year. Or, at least, aspiring singers who also happen to be featured in singing-contest reality shows like "American Idol," "X Factor" and "The Voice." Lots of people thought it wouldn't be possible to add to the list of singing competition programs after "American Idol," but both Simon Cowell's "X Factor" and NBC's "The Voice" (which featured singers like Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Maroon Five's Adam Levine as judges) have proven to be equally successful. Now, the question is, which one is the best sing-off show of them all?
"American Idol" was the singing show that starting it all for aspiring musicians in America. And though popular judges have come and gone (we're looking at you, Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul), the program remains just as popular as it was when it started with its current judges, Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler.

But then, there came "The Voice," another sing-off show which premiered on April 2011 and offered a unique new format for singing competitions. Contestants would first go through a blind audition, then a singing battle and finally a live performance for their coaches/judges.

The last to premiere this year, "The X Factor" originally started in the U.K. but Simon Cowell -- previously a judge on "American Idol" -- decided to bring the uber-popular show to the States. With judges like Simon Cowell himself, Paula Abdul, L.A. Reid and Nicole Scherzinger, the show is packed with drama and still going strong in its first season.

I personally have followed The Voice the longest. Everybody knows looks and talent are what it takes to make it in Holly"Weird", or elsewhere. These shows are ways to escape lifes worries. Don't make such a big deal out of them! You want talent watch PBS.
Who did you think was best?
No offence Sodahead, but I find it annoying that half of the questions here I can't properly answer just because I'm not American...
Bottom line - "The Gong Show" with all the fun removed.
