What the hell is an Emo and what makes them different from those Goths? Seriously!

Goths are rebels without a real cause.They're kinda like hippies, sans the bong and sense of humor (no offense to hippies or goths in general)
Emo is pretty much a fashion statement nowadays.

Emos cut and are usually depressed. Goths rebel and hate the world.

Goth are black wearing, death obsessive, and aren't completely sensitive, and they try to get intouch with the dead... and emo is sensitive that just want their life to be over with and they dress different, more TIGHT clothes, and they cut their wrists... Goth ppl and emo ppl are perfectly fine,and there is nothing wrong with what they do and how they handle things in their life. =D [I meant the "the difference is"] aha. :p

Emo- Fashioncore nowadays....

At least they acknowledged it- *I took it down because I figured it took up too much room* I'm not saying all, but the 'emo' people that i've come across sit and deny it as being a fashion statement at all, they keep saying it's to 'express' your emotions.....

I agree, it absolutely is a fasion statement. I don't know why they are so defensive about it. Every fashion statement someone utilizes is for the purpose of expressing themself.

not totally a big difference except the type of music i suppose and i guess some people cut themselfs which somehow gives others reasons to pick on them and label them as emo, which isnt fair. your cousin is probably ggoing through a phase anyway, so i wouldnt worry about it and deffiently dont pick on him.

I don't really worry about, but the making fun of him part is challenging. If you knew my cousin, you might not make fun of him, but you couldn't help but laugh just a little bit. First, he was the jock, then the political activist, then he was the atheist, then the punk rocker, the band leader, he came out of the closet as being gay. Then he was straight, then gay, then Asexual, then he was a Christian again, then gay again. He goes to LA for two weeks, comes back a bisexual atheist emo that kisses everything but my dogs. No one can tell me that's not just a little funny. With all of his weirdness, he's family and I love him.
