One that fits, provides cushionhing and support, and doesn't come in day-glo colors. OVer the years that has meant Nike, New Balance, Reebok (had to special order them back in the mid 70's), Brooks, and Tiger.
I have 4 prs of sneakers and rotate them out each day. New Balance, Nikes, and Rykas. They all feel the same on my feet, but I prefer the Rykas b/c they have a little "doodad" (for lack of a better word) that slides up and down the laces so I don't have to tie them. My favorite work shoe brand is Alegria.
They all seem the same to me,and it seems the price paid for them depends on the name printed on them.I do not pay for brand names, but seek a comfortable, reasonably stylish sneaker So I buy the ones that are on sale, preferably ones without a company logo on the side.I am not a walking billboard for a company .
