I do stats for my team, I know that's a positon to play, but it's still a position on the team. And it's not an easy job,
every play i must write the QB, Receiver or Runner, Tackler, Assist, where the ball was spotted at, where the ball ended at, what down, if there was penalty, if there was a turnover, and if there was a score, every single play for the entire game, and after the game is over I have to take all that raw informaton and turn it into a stat sheet with both offensive and defensive stats.
It's not that I don't like my job, it's a volunteer job (in my High School), and i'm very happy to do it. I'm just saying those non-player positions like trainer, waterboy, cameraman, and stats man are still challenging at times. But I do get alot of support from the team, both players and coaches because they know it is a volunteer position in my school. Plus I love doing stats
Usually outside LB. Sometimes corner, occasional RB, safety, and was 3rd string QB due to injuries on my freshman team in high school. I think it goes without saying that I wasn't much of a QB. But as a Outside LB, I got defensive MVP my senior year.
