What is your guilty pleasure song?

There is a certain, beloved song that you are ashamed to have on your playlist.

If it plays when you're with your peers, you deny thy love for that song and it's creator to gain their approval. If it plays when you're alone, you shamelessly sing and dance along with an undeniable zeal that you can't express otherwise.

A typical "guilty pleasure" song is usually cheesy, outdated, and/or just plain bad for whatever reason it might be, and is yet so damn catchy and enjoyable to listen to. Why is this? Do record producers hire scientists who specialize in what the human ear finds irrevocably pleasurable to the brain, no matter how unpleasant it may seems on the surface?

For the record, my guilty pleasures include the Spice Girls, Shania Twain, T.V. theme songs (Cheers, Step by Step ,etc.), and Toni Basil's infamous "Mickey."

Hahaha! Indeed and I make fun of him for it too. I think it gives you a bit of nostalgia. It definitely has a throwback kind of sound. The boy? Well, he is just a boy and should be slapped too.

Aww you are so cute. He sounds like a good young man. His mom is less wacky than mine was and his older sister sounds like a better influence than mine was.
If I still lived there I would show him all the Trout Streams and Ponds of RI. I know them all like the back of my hand.

He would blow up your phone night and day. He is absolutely bonkers for fishing. He gets that from his dad. I really enjoy it, but Marco, dreamed, ate, drank and obsessed fishing. I bet you were a good boy too. You sound mischievous. Bruno is pretty honest. Probably because I am easy to approach and try to remain unflappable even when they do crazy sheeat.

Yeah that is the way to be.. Mom would just freak out and was worse with my sisters.. My generation is the baby busters or tweeners. Not baby boomers and right before you Gen Xers' ( i actually hate the labels)
There are less of us thus the 'baby busters" and we got away with murder in the 80's. Plus my eldest sister from the 70's turning our house into her opium den didn't help matters.

Ahhhhh, that's right. I have done that myself. Picked up a bite somewhere before I had to be at dinner someplace else. Gorged myself just to be polite and toddled off to the bathroom with my peacock feather. They ate everything by midnight. I still sort of hate them.

Ahh. You are a nice mom.. You plan and work hard to provide late night munchie snacks.. They probably ate it in their beds.
Since knowing you the past 6 months.I see the word portchie everywhere I go, and it usuall yrelates to food.. I just purchased some frozen small clams in a shell for a seafood fett dish .They are OK . Just a garnish really.
Anyways they are imported to Pembroke MA and on the back have a recipe for Portuguese steamers.. Made you think of you.. and eating..
