Paths of Glory

Paths of Glory is a great film and maybe in the top three of Kirk Douglas's portrayals!

They are all good flicks! I never liked the title for "The Thin Red Line" as it steals from another culture and time. For a few centuries the British Army wore Red Tunis into battle. A scenes from one of my all time favorite movies the original 1939 "The Four Feathers" uses this line. It's key in the story as by this time in the field they now use Khaki.

The bear skin hats were to make them look bigger to the enemy at distance in the open field.

The Thin Red Line

Thin Red Line purely due to it's rich cinematography. None of these films, in my opinion would be a choice for me. Among those I appreciated much more were "Platoon," "Deer Hunter," "Black Hawk Down," and "Glory.". I found these among my top choices.

I only checked this one because you did not list "Heaven knows Mr. Allison" with Robert Mitchum and Deborah Kerr. And the other movie I like Is "Father Goose" with Cary Grant and Leslie Caron.

it was a movie first...then they turned it into a tv show...the only character that was in both the movie and the tv series was Radar :)

I don't think I've seen too many of the other movies, but of the ones on the list that I've seen this is the one I'm most likely to watch.
