Yikes, tough question... maybe "Jurassic Park: The Lost World" if only for the drawn out portrayals of Tyrannosaurus Rex (my favorite extinct animal, pachyderms aside). I sure am a sucker for dinosaur action...
I love how well Sam Rockwell killed this film. I love how good it looks for such a small budget. The story is really intriguing. It was the best sci fi film of the decade if you ask me. The only thing that came close to it was "Children of Men".

Too many stories of any type have a predictability. You recognize the type of story, recognize the options coming, never feels completely new.
In terms of involvement, intrigue and sheer unpredictability: Inception.
