I don't have a favorite band because they are way to many good bands and they are a lot of genres.Well i do have a favorite artist in jazz and classical and also rapper and hip hop group. My favorite Jazz Artist is Nat King Cole,My favorite Classical Artist is Mozart,My favorite Rapper is Nas and My favorite Hip Hop Group is Beastie Boys
Avenged Sevenfold.Because I love their music. The lyrics are really good and have a meaning. That's what I always look at songs. The meaning. And I can find it in Avenged's songs. Also,I really respect them. After they lost their best friend, the drummer, they found the strength to continue producing music. And all of the members are great, funny guys <3
Iron Maiden, This is a long answer, but the only way I can explain their epicness.
They are my favorite band for many reasons although the best reason to me, is that they seemed to do everything perfect back in 1980-1985.
Vocals: Bruce Dickinson is, alongside Ronnie Dio, arguably the greatest Heavy Metal vocalist. His voice has a lot of power and authority in the songs; the lyrics are very clear and easy to understand once you've gotten used to them.
Guitar: Dave Murray and Adrian Smith are both lead guitarists who created Great Riffs and insane double guitar solos. Iron Maiden has some of the best guitar solos ever recorded.
Bass: Steve Harris is a great bassist; while most bassists get to relax and take it easy during most songs, Harris blasts out constant epic bass riffs!
Drums: Nicko McBrain is a great drummer. His technical abilities are best shown during performances of Run to the Hills and Hallowed Be Thy Name. Few other bands have been fortunate enough to have this tallented of a drummer.
Lyrics and Songs: I like songs about how great love is and how bad heartbreak is, but it seems like that's almost all there is. With Iron Maiden, the songs are much more complex lyrics and meanings. Here are some examples:
Run to the Hills, The Trooper, Aces High, and 2 Minu...

Run to the Hills, The Trooper, Aces High, and 2 Minutes to Midnight are all about the glory and horror of warfare; something few bands dare to talk about.
Flight of Icarus is the retelling the Greek myth of Icarus's Escape.
Powerslave is about a Pharoh coming to terms with his own death.
Rime of the Ancient Mariner is actually a musical version of Samuel Coleridge's epic poem which was written in 1817. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/...
Live Performances: I usually hate live performances, but Iron Maiden not only puts on a great show; some of the songs are better than the studio Versions. These are the best two examples:
Revelations

Steely Dan. Their music has changed over time, embracing different styles and genres, their lyrics are always interesting, the writing and musicianship excellent (granted that they went to more of a studio band with many excellent guest players), and a sense of irony that matches my own.
They truly love music and respect it. I've also grown respect for them, when they lost their drummer. It takes alot of passion and will power to keep going after something like that.
Switchfoot.... my likeage for them comes and goes, but I just love how Jon Foreman writes the songs... so... honest. and crazy. he's got some deep stuff going on in his brain.
and the music's catchy :)
I guess it depends on your definition of "band"...
Ah, well, my favorite group is PointFive! :D
^ fukken a capella! OwO
^ fukken sounds like the 90's!
^ my fukken favorite song! (...right now it is, anyway...)
My favorite is Clear-san (the blue one)! He's the reason I started listening to the group, and it took me a long time to get over my Clear-bias and actually listen to the other members... They're actually all quite good though!
I guess... it's my favorite group because it's made up of some of the best Utaite on Nico Nico Douga, and because they cover some of my favorite songs. ^^
AND CLEAR-SAN IS IN IT, THAT'S ALL THAT REALLY MATTERS! XD
Like many, I have ALOT of favorite bands but right now I am really in to Nirvana and they are now at the top of my list also Lynyrd Skynyrd Van Halen, Def Leppard, Guns N Roses, 3 Doors Down and many more
Nirvana because Kurt Cobain was the greatest songwriter ever and their music is so meaningful
Lynyrd Skynyrd because their music is so patriotic and they are a REAL classic rock and roll band and they have a great old school sound
Van Halen has one of the greatest guitar players who ever lived and their music sounds so great
Def Leppard is just an all-around great rock band
3 Doors Down is one of the few really good new rock bands their lyrics also have great meaning
There will never be another band like the Beatles. They not only changed what rock 'n roll music was about but also help change what society was going through in the insane sixties.
Rammstein becase they are different then most bends like the ones we have here in America.I like there style then most bands becase most bands today to me are nothing new.I like there live stuff unlike most bands. I don't care much for there live stuff Rammstein can pull off some great live shows. Most old bands to me can have that annoying high pitch sound Which I like Till lindemann's low dark strong voice.

Up the Irons!
More then 30 Years of pure rocking out
Real talented mucisians (unlike many new ones)
best bass in metal

Because they were one of a kind.
surprises happen?
I really enjoy their music
they are not as good anymore
the new stuff is kind of boring
Weezer
The Beattles
and of course
Paramore
They're my favorite because the lyrics are relatable, and Amy Lee's voice is amazing.
