Summer is supposed to be a time for blockbuster movies, music festivals, and classic albums. But often, summer comes with its own set of... unmentionables. Yahoo! put together a terrifying list of summer one-hit wonders -- songs that took over for a season, then fell with the autumn leaves and crumbled under Father Time's heavy feet. Does "Macarena" ring a bell? Then you know where this is going.

We kind of hate to bring it up, but one of the best examples of a summer one-hit wonder on Yahoo's list is "Who Let the Dogs Out?" by Baha Men. Did anyone actually like that song, or was it just an unfortunate fad tied to an unbearably catchy tagline? Mysteriously absent from Yahoo's list is "MMBbop" by Hanson," who, believe it or not, still make music for a devoted (if miniscule) fan base. Let us know what you think the worst summer one-hit wonder was!

I really don't care who the hell let the dogs out. I hated this song then & I still hate it to this day. As for the Macarena, it had a beat that made people move. Wasn't a favorite of mine but I could handle it. MMMBop, Hanson, cutie pies that young girls adored. Whoomp, I actually enjoy. I love a good artist as much as the next person but for me every song doesn't have to have a deep seated meaning just as long as it comes from someone who is either promoting fun and/or can actually sing w/out making my eardrums bleed!

WTF!? Seriously!! Wow. Well much props to her for making such a catchy tune. I personally got so sick of it cause it was soooo overplayed and everybody was doing that stupid dance. But crazy for her to be a part of something like that. Bravo. :)

yes we never have to work another day of our lives! shes very talented my mother she wrote many other songs that were in my opinion amazing but its always the catchy cheese songs that make the money init!

I just can't find anything redeeming about this song. It doesn't sing about anything life changing, doesn't have any great musical talent displayed and just repeats over and over. I realize they were just young kids, but this was only popular because it got STUCK in your head and you couldn't get away from it. Check out their new stuff, it's actually worth a listen. Nothing earth-shatteringly deep, but fun and positive messages.

Children are easily lead astray. Like I said, their new stuff is a little more grown up and not really bad, but I still have trouble taking them seriously when I compare their stuff to other artists. I just remember, their stuff is supposed to be light and should be judged accordingly.
