I picked gas tank, simply because it goes along with my original complaint. The most annoying thing about guests, is not what they do, but instead, whats missing....Just a thought...

Other: rummaging through my medicine drawer.

I don't have to drop $40-$50 to clean the dishes or bathroom.

This isn't very annoying, but it's the only one I can fathom actually happening. All of our guests do our dishes for us, usually bring their own car but if not, certainly don't drive ours around much, and they've never left the bathroom messy :/ I wouldn't care if they didn't make the bed...in fact I'd expect them not to bother with too much effort, since obviously as soon as they leave we'll wash all their sheets so they're clean for the next guest :/

When I have been a houseguest, I always clean up the bathroom when I am in it last, and I strip the bed, but fold the sheets and cases and nicely eave them on the end of the bed...
I also fold the blanket and the spread and leave them across the bed..
I do the same with used towels in the bathroom...and I always clean up my own dishes...
AND, I always take or send a nice gift...

That is how my mother brought me up. When you are a houseguest clean up behind yourself. Also, offer to help, don't go in people's fridge.

and just a messy house in general for goodness sake clean up after yourself pricks.

All the above. Add in 'missing household objects', including, but not limited to: kitchen wares, toaster, food--canned, frozen. Toilet paper, bathsoap, shampoo, hair and tooth brushes, toothpaste, antiperspirant, hot rollers, blowdryer. Cloths-washing detergent, fabric softener, dryer sheets, plastic hangers. Various pieces of clothing, including shoes, underwear, shorts, t-shirts, hooded jackets. Complete set of golf clubs in bag, canon camera in bag, set of ratchets in case, motor oil, set of metric wrenches in case, large extention ladder, 75 ft. water hose. This was the tally after visits from various family members during three consecutive New Years Eve parties and sleep-overs. I'd like to say i can trust my extended family and their close friends. But, I've learned the hard way. I cannot.
