This is kind of a broad topic, but since G4 dared to tackle a "Top 5 Video Games of All Time" poll (as if anyone could establish a satisfactory list) we thought we'd make things a little bit simpler. There are plenty of games out there with enough clout to secure an easy spot on the Top 5 -- "Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time," "Final Fantasy VII" -- but we're more interested in the open-ended answers.

We want to know what you think is the best game of all time is, whether it's a well-known entry like "NBA Jam" or "Skyrim," or an obscure title from your childhood, like "Buster Busts Loose" or "Jade Cocoon." From Don Daglow's "Dungeon" to "Diablo III," anything is fair game. We'll kick it off with a few canonical classics, but think hard before you answer. And feel free to post some footage if you'd like!

I honestly feel guilty about this, but I havent even tried 5 yet. A friend of my ex gf said he was going to give it to me (because he was too addicted :)) but then I broke up with her. HOW STUPID OF ME!!! lol..... and sense then a lot of stuff I have been told about it kinda scares me that they changed too much so I still play 4 to this day.

There were some changes yes, but most of them I really like. For instance, you can no longer stack units on a single tile, which makes combat much more tactical and a lot less cheap. Also, there are independent city states which you can either conquer or ally yourself with. They play a big part in diplomatic victories and also give you all kinds of bonuses.

There's an expansion coming out with 9 new civs and a bunch of new features, which eliminates the one edge that until now IV had over V: the number of civs.

Il2 Sturmovik. And ALL the planes shown are flyable. With mods the game is as strong and robust as ever with flyable planes from the 30's to the Vietnam era.

I don't care about sales, anyone who does is a moron who doesn't know a thing about games.. Or pretty much anything.

CoD outsold many things, so did Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, and Twilight. None of them are better than the majority of things they outsold.

Call of Duty is a quality FPS. It not only has sold through the roof but has gotten consistant excellent reviews. Call of Duty is a hardcore game. Why the hate?

It has brought FPS gaming to its most popular point in history, yes. And because of that there will be a point where all these FPS games get made that are good but can't compete with the big two or three. And eventually some people will grow tired of the focus on FPS and long for the return to better days.
