What dya think of the movie "Skyline"?

I thought the special effects were awesome, and it was pretty decent as a whole.

Humongous spacecraft hover over cities, while their "creatures" roam the planet looking for brains to suck out of humans to implant into their own creatures.

I found it entertaining, and generally highly amusing. But it wasn't particularly exceptional. The plot felt somewhat shallow and predictable, but wasn't just a remake, reboot or sequel which is nice.
Haven't seen it for a few years though...
