What do you think of Call of Duty: Black Ops?

I would love it if I didn't suck at it. I'm way better at L4D.

Its not terrible but it has alot of problems: Hit detection, tons of campers (I know they will always be present in FPS, but the number of them in BO is crazy), bad maps (can you say Nuketown?) and way to many immature kids playing online. Like I said its not terrible, but when compared to other games like Bad Company 2 or even MW1 & 2 its just...........o.k at best, but it could have been sooo much better.

But the graphics look good, and the plot is supposed to be good and the weapons realistic.
That being said.

But it has a lot of overweight, room dweller kids thinking that they can run right out and become Special Forces operators.....And that Special Forces are all about running around shooting people, and getting a "really great" body count.

You wanna see good graphics check out Killzone 3 or Uncharted. Black ops has average graphics. The weapons are very realistic though. Great recruiting tool for the military.

Not exactly. I have a friend that became a Navy Seal after playing Socom US Navy seals. Not all gamers are out of shape and I don't think you have to run a half mile to pilot a drone. Gamers would be perfect for that type of job. Even controlling some of the high tech robots.

Your generalization of people that play games is bad. We don't all look like this.

I'm aware that not all gamers look like that. But I am well aware that the video game generation is far more physically challenged than preceding ones.

well black ops anyway, i have a different call of duty on my ds and i love it

Zombies mode is my favorite and I prefer to play that over the other modes as the online multiplayer is terrible with the hit detection. I can't count the amount of times I unloaded half a clip into somebody and died because they shot me once, only to watch the exact thing happen in the kill cam. Then in hardcore mode there are way too many campers... so like I voted, it's a love hate relationship with me.

Still haven't even played the campaign mode. Everything else is enjoyable

I like a different kind of game, I am not really into games that are story driven. I get frustrated with cut scenes. I played this game when it came out and I got bored and uninstalled it.

A good game for me is Arma 2

Multiplayer is awesome excpet for all of the mouthy kids that talk disrespectfully over bragging rights for a game, the problem I have is with Zombies, I think I am going to need to go to addiction counseling for it, I am obsessed with getting to higher and higher rounds. The call of the dead map has been my mountain, that and "five" which hardly anyone plays.

Since I don't own a console, I usually mooch off my friend and play it - sometimes alone, sometimes with.
I don't find it enjoyable. I guess because there are so many shooter games out there just like it that it gets old very quickly. It's okay, but just very... blah.

Single player is great but the Zombies are so cool!

I think it's a total SPAM FEST... Intense FPS games since Counter Strike (Pre-Source) have become increasingly casual in nature. Although Battlefield 1942, 2 and Desert Combat / Q3 Arena showed a lot of innovation and genuine skill to mater, COD BO is a brain numbing affair.

Granted I think the graphics based evolutions are magnificent and the quick pace in scope aiming is greatly improved, maybe even the MP point tally method in various game types. But to be realistic it is only a notch above previous efforts like the predecessors Rainbow 6 franchise, Halo franchise and Unreal Tournament 1 & 2.

I still rate it 5/5 for a social shoot 'em up at parties etc but for an intensively immerse game play I still prefer Counter Strike 1.5/1.6, Q3 Arena or Duke Nukem 3D.

Man... I feel the same.
