Fantasy and sci-fi are tricky on TV. The shows need a good budget and a good vision to pull off the CGI; make it look good, not cheesy, and make fans happy.

Fans of the "Game of Thrones" novel have been waiting more than a decade to see this: After all, you can’t have a fantasy series without dragons, right?

BTW, as far as the quality of the animation: Amazing. I loved the details like the claws digging into her skin. Awesome job!

I've seen far worse. Of course, since it doesn't have the forelegs, it still looks more like a wyvern than a dragon, to me.

I like sci-fi...but if I get a chance...I'll have a look.
What I meant was...I like my sci-fi with a bit more believability in it.
Fantasy creatures pull that away for me..but I can understand the fascination with the dragons for others. It could be cool. It depends on how good the plot is. The CGI looks adequate for a TV show.

Read the books. It's been true to them so far, the deaths of awesome characters cannot be avoided. Also the 'magic' of the world is subtle when unseen, but when shown it is awe inspiring.

Dunno how they are depicted in the novel, but the CGI looks very accurate as far as the stereotypical dragon goes. Very well done.
Also, that is a wyvern, not a dragon.

My brother seems to love the show.
All 3 of them actually. They even got together and watched all episodes in one day.
'Lazy day' was dead, and now they have it back. Oh joy. More dishes for me.
