Most decades have great movies. For my it died the death in the 90s, perhaps when CGI gained more and more dominance.
Overall, I would probably say either 20s, 40s, 60s or 80s. Then again that leaves out greats like Star Wars, many Hitchcock films, Betty Davis films. What a difficult choice.

The early 2000s. Computer graphics had finally reached a point where it was both attractive and practical to use. High definition had begun its rise into popularity and a rush of films that could not have been filmed before were finally doable.
