The Man Who Fell To Earth is a great alien movie, it's also a book. They're different in some ways.
I'm not too certain if they'd be sci-fi, but they definitely have some elements of the supernatural: Twin Peaks the TV show [you can watch for free on hulu] and the prequel movie, Fire Walk With Me. Also by David Lynch, Lost Highway, and Eraserhead. He's known for the scifi Dune, which I'm sure you've seen :]

There are probably some that I liked on the Sci Fi channel but I love the Ghost Whisperer, Medium, Star Wars, Lost Boys, True Blood, Picket Fences, Blade, Twilight, Alien, Predator, Terminator, Super Natural and WB's Roswell. I guess some of those could be classified under another genre but they are all good entertainment for out of the ordinary.

Thank you. I have not heard of Twilight, Picket Fences, or Super Natural so I will look them up. I found Medium to be a bit cheesy but the rest of the shows you mention are pretty good especailly the Terminator and Alien series of movies..

Who could forget Star Wars! I'm glad you mentioned that. Made me think, and I neglected to list "Starman." It's older, but still quite good.

Can't stand any of the cheesy made for the SciFi channel movies
    Series I liked are:

    Farscape
    Earth 2
Firefly was likely my favorite. Didn't really get into it until it was in reruns though. Seemed kinda stupid at a glance like a space western. However, after I finally watched an entire show I was hooked.

WARNING: THIS CLIP CONTAINS POTTY MOUTH. SO YOU FOLKS WITH SISSY EARS JUST MIGHT BE OFFENDED! OH YEAH, THERE'S ALSO MAN BUTT SO YOU WON'T WANT TO LOOK EITHER!

Other two movies that I wasn't going to add but then decided to: Event Horizon and The Lost Highway.
Both lean more towards horror/suspense, especially The Lost Highway but both are really good movies.

battlestar galactica,it just ended, but what an ending, and what an incredible show. Movies, alien(the first one),another one, can't remember the name, people were in this (was it sphere?), underwater station, very, very deep, and an alien living in the water contacts them,it goes all through the "home" of these people on a long stream of water, then turns into a copy of the face of one of the men.Good movie.

My favorite sci-fi movie was "Independence Day", being a huge Will Smith fan! My favorite TV show isn't really science fiction....it's called UFO Hunters on the History Channel....it's really cool!

I watch all of the shows r/t UFO's on the history channel and have to be careful not to get to much into it because there are times when they only give part of the story.

I loved Independence Day~~scary movie but well made.

If you're interested in UFO's, there's a site called The Black Vault....excellent site! John Greenwald got SOOO much info because of the Freedom of Information Act that he's put on that site, as well as videos and pics. People also can tell about their UFO stories. And, just in case you're interested, I started a group called UFO Stories on this site. You're more than welcome to come and check it out! The link is: http://www.sodahead.com/group...
