I always liked his talk show and he was the talk show pioneer and not afraid to tackle controversial subjects.

Phil was one interviewer who actually didn't interrupt his guests by arguing or excessive monologue. Bill Moyer kind of reminds me of Phil. Listening seems to be a lost art.

Phil Donohue? Sure I watched him. Enjoyed his show a lot. A liberal with an agenda? Of course. I'm a liberal and we all have an agenda. He was very open and honest about where he stood.

BTW, I do also sometimes listen to Rush Limbaugh. Praise be to God I don't have to look at him! Anybody complaining that he has a conservative agenda? As long as the agenda is above board, I see nothing wrong with it.

End of my first morning rant/rave.

I wasn't into TV, when his show was popular, but I think he's a good guy, from what little I've heard.
