Last year, the music world lost Amy Winehouse at the too young age of 27. Sadly, while Winehouse's biggest hit was "Rehab," it was her refusal to continue to seek help (as she stated in her own song) that led to her downfall. The official cause of death was alcohol intoxication, a clear sign that the talented yet troubled singer was still struggling with demons before her passing.
At the time of Winehouse's death, even with all of her issues, she was a well-respected artist amongst the music and entertainment community. When she passed away last year, Twitter didn't just blow up with an outcry from fans, but also from some of the biggest public figures. CNN's Anderson Cooper may have summed up Winehouse's death best via this tweet from last year: "Just heard a report Amy Winehouse has died. If true, such a waste of a great talent."
It's now a year later since the tragic demise of a talented young woman. For those that were fans of her music, you can still continue to support her legacy and estate by following the official Twitter feed @AmyWinehouse for updates, exclusive tracks, and special offers. You can also follow @AmysFoundation for information on how to purchase her biography, which was completed by her father. Winehouse's music lives on, but her legacy will be just as much of a cautionary tale as it is of a spectacular performer.

Vieuphoria 2012/07/22 20:21:52Yes+7I think she was a great talent. Lyricaly and vocally she had all the potential in the world. Frank was a great album, Back To Black was a modern classic. She will go down as another great rock n roll tragedy. It's a shame someone with the talent she didn't messed herself up as badly as she did. I honestly thought she'd be a true success story, but I guess it all caught up wth her.
