Women over the age of 16, rejoice! You can finally watch Taylor Lautner without having to subject yourself to the "Twilight" series!
"Abduction," only the second movie he's been involved in since he began the "Twilight" series in 2008, is an action-packed thriller that walks the line between "Mission: Impossible" and "The Bourne Identity."
Looks like Hollywood is setting this guy up for a huge career.
The story focuses on Lautner's character, a young man with a great life who discovers he's actually on a missing person website and not who he thought he was -- his entire life has been a lie, constructed to hide a deep, dark truth.
Or something like that. For the most part, the trailer just looks like a bunch of shoot-outs and chase scenes. Our eyes kind of glazed over while we were watching it.
But we did notice a wrestling scene and a pool scene, which is good news for you ladies out there. We could have sworn Lautner promised never to take his shirt off for the camera again, but clearly the director had a different idea.
Speaking of which, the movie is directed by Oscar-nominated "Boyz n the Hood" director John Singleton, so it's got that going for it.
It also stars Lily Collins, Sigourney Weaver and Alfred Molina.
"Abduction" is set for a Sept. 23 release.

sc 2011/08/18 14:24:46Hit+7I actually liked him before Twilight. I was (and still am) a huge Robert Rodriguez. Hes the guy who did Spy Kids and Sin City. So I was a huge fan of Shark-boy and Lava-girl. Taylor makes a good action hero when he doesnt have to act all angsty and constipated. Or at least he used to be good.

YAY TAYLOR LAUTNER :D lol, anything with him in will be awesome!!!!
I will go see this, though, because it looks intriguing. I loved him as Shark Boy, even though I deny it to anyone who knows me, and I loved him in the Cheaper by the Dozen sequel. If this movie is a hit, though, then he can start to make that transition into an action star if that's what he chooses.
Even though I'll see the movie, it won't be until it's out on DVD.
Been there, done that. BORing!
