Believe it or not, this isn't the first time Katy Perry has covered a rap song. She's covered Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'" on more than one occasion. She's also covered "Friday" by Rebecca Black, "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga, "Whip My Hair" by Willow Smith, "Only Girl" by Rihanna, "Electric Feel" by MGMT, and "Someone Like You" by Adele. She's got quite the second-hand repertoire. But few covers received as much attention as she got this week for rapping "N----s in Paris."
Perry surprised the audience at a BBC Radio 1 recording when she popped on a Yankees cap (questionable behavior for a "California gurl," but whatever) and covered "N----s in Paris" by Jay-Z and Kanye West, off their "Watch the Throne" album. The most surprising thing about it was that it wasn't half bad. Even YouTube comments are relatively tame. Check it out for yourself and let us know what you think.

I like some of her songs but she's not that great vocally. More proof to me when you have a set that consists of song covers.
There are singers you want to hear sing no matter what they sing because they have such a great voice. Some singers you want to here mainly because of individual songs. I think she's the latter.
Hopefully she won't attempt this again.
I wish she could read that!
Nonononono.
