I like immersive games, play all lights out with surround sound... You know the game is a succes when you find out after a couple of hours of play that your own breathing is synchronized with your in-game character... Great gameplay experience!!
Can't wait to try this one too!

"Survival games" typically refer to horror series like "Resident Evil" or "Silent Hill," which focus on ambiance and offer players little ammo or supplies, forcing them to play it safe and sometimes avoid confrontation. "Fallout" is another popular example of the survival genre. But Ubisoft's latest creation, "I Am Alive," doesn't just embrace the genre -- it embodies it.
Like "Fallout," "I Am Alive" takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where supplies are running thin. Though it does contain traditional elements of combat and incorporates both melee and ranged weapons, its focus is on how the player can manage to save bullets, find water, and stay alive. A new trailer shows how avoiding combat altogether is often the best way of dealing with hostile situations. Scrounging for water and holding on to your ammo might sound like a snooze to some, but it's certainly an interesting angle.

praying for it to have a true mac version
Making game more of a challenge is awesome, with some unbalanced parts that are possible to test the player. Ambiance makes games alive, good music score is a key for a good game. Today music is often orchestral and it sucks. I miss the days of synth and ambient music!
