Hi JT. You know I'm from UK so here goes with the self deprecating sh1t!
I think that unless you lived here for decade, most off it came accross as a manufactured acid trip! There was sh1t going on all over the place!
But, the final Olympic crucible thing was genius!
Anyway, who cares? Our country, our rules!
Despite our historical 'problems' we done good for some little island off the coast of France! Yeah, I'm proud to be English first, British second. Not sure it was better than Beijing, but it was British.

i can't sit still for 4 hours,watching tv.i tried,i fell asleep for 2 hours....what i did watch was entertaining.i only wanted to see sir paul and the arctic monkeys...both good..

Beijing was awesome on a controlled authoritarian grinding sort of way big blunt and expensive, London was far superior, more relaxed and looking to the future as well as the past, funny and engaging.

I just saw snippets between tables (waiter). It seemed hokey from what I could tell, but for what I read it sounded kind of fun. I really don't know. Maybe I shouldn't be offering my two cents when I don't have them :)
