Was the Kimbo Slice vs. James "Colossus" Thompson Fight Fixed?

For any of you that saw the EliteXC MMA Kimbo vs. James Thompson fight, it seemed that the fight may have been fixed.
Thompson was beating Kimbo in almost all regards for a large majority of the fight. Then, all of a sudden, the fight was called because Thompson's cauliflower ear "popped" and some blood was seen on the side of his head.
Moderate-Hardcore fans of EliteXC believe that this fight was called because the success of the entire Kimbo campaign rests on his remaining virtually undefeated.
