Nicki Minaj was all ready to headline at Hot 97's Summer Jam festival in New Jersey on Sunday until host Peter Rosenberg went on stage at the pre-show and said her single "Starships" isn't real hip hop. Within minutes, Lil Wayne announced he was pulling Minaj from the show. Minaj quickly confirmed on Twitter, saying she "won't ever go against Wayne's word."
Since the incident, Rosenberg has addressed the incident but refuses to apologize. The next day, he said on Hot 97, "I'm absolutely not apologizing ... I've been saying this for six months. I'm not going to change my stance because I'm at Summer Jam ... I'm disappointed that she felt like she couldn't get on stage. That was surprising to me. What she should have done was played the game. This is hip hop. She should have gone on that stage and made a movie." Do you think it was right for Nicki Minaj to pull out of the gig?

No+11Oops, other people have their own opinion. Our bad nicki, for the record, statships ISN'T hiphop. But I thought that maybe your FANS opinions would matter, seeming as THEY were the ones who paid good money to see that big fake ass. She no longer has my resepct after abandoning her fans because of what ONE person said. Shame on lil Wayne too.

and for the question,, it dont really care. they can do whatever they want.
I hate country music. And I hate classical music. And this pop music isn't all that hot either nowadays. I listen to hip hop and r&b, and I don't think of myself as mediocre. Did you think before you wrote that comment? Because it was pretty rude.
I'm glad a white guy has been 'brave'-or maybe sane enough to point this out, as MTV are so ignorant they seem to be happy classing every coloured act as hip hop.
LAME
Probably as stupid as Nicki Minaj looks with blonde straight Barbie hair.
Let's see. Who did it hurt?... That's right her fans that were expecting a show. Too bad they obviously don't matter. Maybe they will take their money elsewhere and Nicki Minaj will eventually get paid back for abandoning them.
