NO! Not at all all! This race had a little bit of everything in it!
I have always heard that Nascar is the "working man's" sport...you know kinda like redneck for lack of a better word. Well after watching this event from Saturday to the end last night I say HELL YEAH this is ALL AMERICAN and what America is all about....the tenicity, the spirit, the drive....people working together and not letting anything discourage them.
Was NASCAR's Daytona 500 a Disaster?

Matt Kenseth won the Daytona 500 on Monday night, but that's not even remotely scratching the surface on the chaos that ensued the last couple of days for NASCAR. The race was originally supposed to begin and wrap up on Sunday but inclimate weather (rain) delayed the race until Monday, when it was broadcast primetime on FOX.
WWE superstar John Cena was an honorary guest of the Daytona 500, but he had to cancel due to the delay interfering with his professional wrestling commitments. In the actual race, there was a six car accident that included popular drivers Danica Patrick. There was even a fuel fire that greatly delayed the proceedings.

Not to mention the fact that scorching flames on the track is pretty darn dangerous. However, when the racing action resumed and finally, mercifully, finished, we had a winner in Kenseth. NASCAR and racing fans just had to go through crashes, fires, rains and delays to get there. This was certainly the most bizarre Daytona 500 for circumstances out of NASCAR's control -- but was it a complete disaster of epic sports proportions?

Not related, but important news for upcoming days/weeks. Please excuse interruption
Spread the Word:
Dark people are being and about to be arrested for crimes against Mankind. Fear is unwarranted: these herald Great and Beneficial Changes. The Galactic Federation is about to Contact Us (and eventually Land) and usher in Prosperity, Abundance, and Health. Technology will be introduced and it will Completely Upgrade Our Society Permanently. Wars will never be permitted on Earth again.
Love and Light,
Bust.
Read my post again, I never said the sport was easy. Simma down now!
BTW, i am giving you a thumbs up just for being a Ron Paul supporter!
There is quite a bit more involved than that.
It is very hard to respect something you know so little about. It is why a baseball person (like myself) understands why a no-hitter is FAR more exciting than any home run. This is why I do not put down my racing fan friends. I understand it is far, far more than making left turns for a few hours.
a street dryer. Matt Kenseth won. That was great tho. A Wisconsin Guy.
