Sheena Monnin, who represented Pennsylvania in the Miss USA 2012 pageant on Sunday, is being sued by pageant owner Donald Trump after claiming that the whole thing was decided before the pageant even started. Monnin says another contestant had seen a list of the top five contestants before the pageant even kicked off, and told her who they would be. Miss Pennsylvania also resigned from the competition, but says she resigned because officials were allowing transgender entries.

In response, Trump told the "Today" show, "What we’ve authorized today is we're going to bring a lawsuit. When she’s using the word 'fraud' -- that's pretty strong. So we're going to be suing her on that basis. The person that supposedly showed the list totally denies that that ever took place. This is a girl who went there, lost, she wasn’t in the top 15, and she's angry at the pageant system." But do you think Miss Pennsylvania may actually be telling the truth?

Mr Donald Trump has to much money and credibility to do something shaddy like that. I believe Sheena Monnin is a narcissistic and believe there is no one prettier then her, so she came up with this lie. Miss Rhode Island won it fair and square,because of her answer about transgenders. Realizing that all human beings should be treated equally regardless of their sexual preference. She gave the best answer about the question that was asked of her!

This pic posted of her is really a bad photo, she is actually quite stunning.

Trump is just a big baffoon, and I wish he would just shut up.

I have only been in one beauty Pagent and it was rigged from the start too, so I have to say I am not at all surprised by this woman claiming this one was. It is just a big game.

advertisers, the people invested in the results for a start. They stand to easily earn a few hundred million with the right woman victor. People are attracted to 'pretty' things, and advertisers know it, their products are associate with 'beauty' thus they pay generously for their favorites to win.

Of course it's rigged. Even if they haven't pre-chosen a winner, they've decided who's going to be eliminated in the first few rounds. Money plays a huge part in these things. Sponsors pay the contest owners big money to use these "beauty queens" to hawk their wares. The judges know what the sponsors want so they preselect finalists that will suit the sponsors' requirements. Like most everything else, it's all about the money.

Many years ago we had friends with a daughter who was involved in a beauty pageant that was a preliminary to the Miss America Pageant in our state. She came in second. It was later revealed that the winner had been chosen well before the pageant took place. My husband and I used to watch these farces and he would pick the winners of the Miss Universe Contest by which country the US had mixed relations with and the US needed to offer an olive branch. Of course they are fixed. I have always felt these things belittle women and I want no part of them. They are now just advertisements for plastic surgeons.

one thing that I notice is that very few winners are women of color--African American, Asian American, Latino, or Native American. This one and the Miss America pageant have always reinforced the Euro-American aesthetic that beauty equals Caucasian features even when the rare black candidate is chosen. And Donald Trump is so crass that is he beyond contempt.
