What started out as a friendly business partnership between Lady Gaga and Target quickly turned into what Gaga called "one of the most intense conversations I've ever had in a business meeting."
Gaga, an adamant supporter of LGBT groups and gay rights, axed a deal with Target that would have allowed the store to carry an exclusive deluxe edition of "Born This Way," her upcoming album.
"Part of my deal with Target is that they have to start affiliating themselves with LGBT charity groups and begin to reform and make amends for the mistakes they've made in the past," Gaga explained to Billboard.
But E! reports that Target has refused to promise any donations, and in fact has come under fire from LGBT groups in recent months because of a donation that the company made to MN Forward, which supported a prominent anti-gay candidate for Minnesota governor last year.
Gaga's rep confirmed, "Lady Gaga and Target came to a mutual decision to end their overall exclusive partnership a few weeks ago."

Yes+33Lady Gaga needs to stop pushing her agenda on the world. Live your life Gaga, stop telling everyone to change theirs to fit yours.

If target does re-negotiate and strikes a compromise with her, that gets her good press in the media and increases her album sales.
If ignorance were money, SH would be the world bank.
What I wouldn't give to actually listen to some new good music.
TARGET MARKETING EXECUTIVE: Thanks, but no thanks. Go f*ck yourself.
Seriously. Look at the picture of Lady GagGag accompanying this article. Would YOU want that thang affiliated with YOUR business? And THAT is one of her more conservative outfits. I hate to tell this freak, but she still isn't big enough to demand political concessions from companies who want to work with her. [They need to have their heads examined.] Bono? Most assuredly. Lady GagGag? Call us back after you've been around for a couple of decades. THEN we'll talk.
Yes I am happy she ended the deal with Target.
I will be doing more shopping at Target and I will shop less at any store that does business with this cow.
