Was Kristen Stewart a good choice for Bella or a bad choice?

Not at all. I felt like the Bella I thought of was more sweet. Kristen LOOKS like Bella, but the personality doesn't fit. At first, Bella could be shy, and stuttering, as Kristen was, but she never lightened up. I imagined that Bella was really happy and liked to find the good in things when she lightened up. She was always mature, but she could have fun and not be a chilly, cold statue who seems to be incapable of smiling.

She just always looked really serious and angry and awkward in a sort of emotionless way. She totally ruined the movie for me. After I saw the first one I just decided to not see the rest because just watching the first one ruined the first book for me. The books were all great but the movie was just...ugh

Well, she's sweet in the book, dude. Not too much, but Kristen Stewart doesn't portray any emotion at all.

Not at all, she was so stiff, showed no emotions, and always looks like she's annoyed. When she screams she sounds so fake, ans NEVER ever smiles!!

Kristen Stewart was plain boring. She is monotone and shows absolutely no personality. She never smiles and the only facial expression she makes looks like she's in pain. Bad acting job.

i did not like that catherine hardwicke and stephenie meyers chose kristen stewart to play the roll of bella. i had seen twilight [the movie] before i read the books, and thought it was pretty darn good. but then i read the books and realized how bad the movies actually are. twilight was okay, new moon was Horrible! and eclipese was ok to. the reason these movies are flopping is because of kristen stewarts lack of talent! i have nothing against her, and i appreciate the fact that they chose someone who wasn't completely known everywhere and splattered across the tabloids and magazines. for me it made kristen as an actress seem fresh and new, with no other previous images from other roles in there to really cloud my percecption of her. BUT. kristen; i'm sorry- you cannot act! not for this part anyways! she was emotionless, monotone, boring and completly wrong for Bella! She never should have been chosen! the movies would have been a much bigger success without her in them; and a different, better actress would have been able to pull on the audiences emotions more, and make them feel what she was feeling as Bella Swan.

I just have to disagree with one thing you said. These movies did not flop, they made hundreds of millions of dollars....i have no idea why, they all do suck.

Kristen Stewart looks like "Bella", 'cause she's very pretty and good looking. What I don't really like is her acting performance in the Twilight movies - in any of her movies to be honest. I expected "Bella" to be more feminine and sensitive, just like in the books, while she was pretty tough and rigid.. She's rather a boyish girl than one that would need a vampire's protection..
I don't know.. It's hard to say if she was good or bad, because on the screen she's quite beautiful, just like Bella should be.. But when she acts.. Hmm.. Not quite goood..

She really isn't. Sorry. Shes just not. Shes like a crack head. Who always makes the same facial expressions (the sorta appalled, confused look. Not cute.) Not good at acting at all.

I think people think she is a good bella because they read the books after the movie and are used to her, where as someone like me, read the first one back in 2005, when no one had ever heard of it. And unfortunatly, I was the one who passed it along to my friends.

Bella was supposed to have a heart shaped face, with a widow's peak, and warm eyes....petite and sweet looking, sorta like Emily Browning.

Kristen is not the Bella described. And she can't act. Nuff said.

i have to agree. but for me she didnt seem inoccent enough for 'bella'. when i first read the books about 4 years ago, my image of bella was way more inoccent, she was not emotionless (nor did she stutter everything she said like kristen did in the move). and i always pictured her as pretty, but in a normal way. in the books she is ment to be average looking... in the movies sorry to say but kisten looks better then the 'vampires'. i think they should have got a younger person to play bella. not saying kristen is old or anything just she dosent look young enough. i agree that they should have put Emily Browning in the role for bella, it would have been much more believable that she was a real high school student then kristen. and no kristen is not the bella described, in my mind they butchered bella and stuck in a fake. sorry but thats how i see it, no offence to kristen or catherine hardwicke or stephenie meyers, but thats truly how i feel.

She never smiles... in order to be a good actor you have to have emotional range I have yet to see from her- on and off screen.
