Whether creator Ryan Murphy wants to admit it, not everyone is itching to appear on "Glee." But Kings of Leon drummer Nathan Followill may have taken the issue too far.
After hearing that Murphy had criticized his band for not allowing "Glee" to use their music, Followill posted an angry tweet that read, "Dear Ryan Murphy, let it go. See a therapist, get a manicure, buy a new bra. Zip your lip and focus on educating 7yr olds how to say f–k."
Murphy immediately took Followill's comment to be a homophobic attack and responded through Perez Hilton.
According to Hilton, Murphy wrote, "Wow. That's a homophobe badly in need of some education. I'm all for manicures, don't wear a bra. Would guess most gay dudes don't. But it's telling that Nathan can reduce a group of people to a mean-spirited cliché, in a time where young gay men are killing themselves all over the country because of hatred like this."

Followill apologized after the media picked up on it, tweeting, "I'm sorry 4 anyone that misconstrued my comments as homophobic or misogynistic. I'm so not that kind of person. I really do apologize."
Sure ya do.

Michaelene 2011/01/27 13:54:14No+13He was calling him out on being a whiny drama queen and Murphy just proved him right.

Ms. Murphy can't even speak fopr her self, SHE has to ask the deviant perez hilton to do it?
P.S. i'm not like taking sides or anything... i LOVE GLEE<3 and i love Ryan Murphy(:
I have gay friends, but I wouldn't promote their being gay as "normal", normal for them. What they do behind closed doors is their own business.
Regardless, I still say he didn't mean anything serious by it.
Followill retaliation was on sexuality--Don't copy Murphy's criticizing, or choose another topic regarding the show.
