Jessica Simpson, who recently signed on as Weight Watchers spokeswoman to get her bikini bod back, caused a bit of a stir in the parenting community this week. On Monday, the "Fashion Star" judge was Katie Couric’s first guest on her new daytime talk show, "Katie." Simpson proudly displayed her post-baby bod and also showed Couric a shot of her new bundle of joy, four-moth-old Maxwell Drew Johnson... in a teenie-weenie yellow bikini.

When the show was over Couric tweeted, “How cute was that pic of @jessicasimpson’s little girl??? #toocute.” But it appears not everyone agrees with her. Of course, the issue is not whether or not the infant was cute, but if the outfit was suitable for a baby.
Representatives from the British child welfare charity Kidscape had other words for the swimwear such as “inappropriate” and “disturbing.” They wrote, "It is hoped that parents will understand that 'baby bikinis' are totally inappropriate and that they contribute to the sexualisation and commercialisation of childhood.”
The Twittersphere concurred with the assessment with cries of “wrong” and “awful.” And while no one would argue that there are too many photos out there that send the wrong message about body image, perhaps this really was all in good fun. What do you think: Is Maxwell’s bikini inappropriate or cute?

This is inappropriate
THE HUMANITY!!! WHAT ARE THESE PEOPLE THINKING... DISGUSTING! TOPLESS BABIES EVERYWHERE... WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?
seriously though... its an adorable baby.... take a chill pill.
He's saying kiss my ass!!
Urethral region, that better?
As for the outfit and the pic, I agree they were both inappropriate. If you look through my kids' baby pics, you won't find a single one of my daughter topless, and none of them naked, I just don't believe that's right, and it teaches kids that kind of behavior is appropriate, when it is not. No wonder sexting is such a problem now-a-days
