Last week, Jennifer Lawrence expressed insecurities about being cast as Katniss, the lead role in "The Hunger Games." On "Letterman" she lamented, "I'm a troll. I hate myself. I think the movie is great, but their biggest mistake was me!" That's obviously a bunk statement, but critics aren't going to boost her self-esteem any with the comments they've been making about her weight in reviews of the movie.
According to New York Magazine, critics from The Hollywood Reporter, the New York Times, Salon, Variety, and others are calling attention to Lawrence's apparent lack of... well, hunger. She's not being "starved into submission" as the book suggests. Lawrence says it was a conscious decision, but critics are using terms like "womanly figure," "baby fat," and "well-fed" like they're bad things. Was Jennifer Lawrence really too big to play Katniss in "Hunger Games"?

And you guys that votes yes; You're all saying 'well, she's not fat. She's a great actor. But...' The question is "Was Jennifer Lawrence Too 'Fat' for 'The Hunger Games'?" Alright. So you're saying in all your comments that she is not fat, and she is a great actor.
What's the problem? When you click 'No', does it automatically say that you said yes or something?
all females in my oppinion (me included) always have insecurities about their bodies and personalities and abilities. i think she is very talented and i was impressed with her portrail of Katniss.
Should they let an actress starve herself just to make it more accurate. No.
She did a wonderful job
