Set your DVR ... Kanye West is returning to next month's MTV Video Music Awards just a year after he famously interrupted Taylor Swift's acceptance speech to say that Beyonce deserved her award instead.

"Taylor I'm really happy for you, I'm a let you finish but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time," Kanye said to a surprising smattering of confused applause.

Was it obnoxious? Indeed. Even President Obama weighed in, calling West a "jackass." But was it really Kanye's lamest moment of all time?

Way back at the 2004 American Music Awards, Kanye claimed he was "robbed" when country singer Gretchen Wilson won the Best New Artist award. He also went off-script at a 2005 Hurricane Katrina telethon to complain that "George Bush doesn't care about black people."

Truthfully, we're not surprised that Kanye's been invited back to the VMAs. First of all, Kanye = ratings gold. We're sure his next "stunt" is being scripted as we type! Secondly, the guy apologized and took a long hiatus from music ... we think one year on everyone's you-know-what list is more than enough.

It's sad, There comes a time when one wishes for the days when you could walk up to somebody like him and just BUST HIM SQUARE IN THE MOUTH. I can promise you he'd think twice about his next outburst. No reprecussions for his actions. I could teach him manners and respect in about 3 mins...if I was nice. 20 if I wasn't sure he understood, or just for the hell of it

There's no point in the MTV music video awards because MTV hasn't played a music video since the 90's! Mtv either needs to play music again or stop pretending to be interested in it for a few awards then go right back to the drivel they call reality tv.

of course it was. i used to like his music a lot and usually i only listen to music for the music. but now, with kanye west, i was so disgusted by this action that i couldn't even listen to his music for a while. poor taylor's only scored more points with me after all.

(this happened too with me listening to chris brown for a while)
