Walt Disney Biopic Poster Is Fake: Wish It Was Real?

French graphic artist Pascal Witaszek has a great idea for a Walt Disney biopic. If it were up to Witaszek, it would star "Blue Valentine" actor Ryan Gosling, be under the guidence of "A Beautiful Mind" director Ron Howard, and be titled, simply, "Walt." Unfortunately for those of you who agree, it's not up to him. It's just an intriguing idea he turned into a remarkably convincing movie poster. But Disney, an animator himself, has been quoted as saying, "All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them."

Witaszek is certainly pursuing it to the best of his abilities. He's no film producer, but it's quite a pitch. The tagline: "Of a Mouse and a Man," a play on the classic Steinbeck novella; the cast: Marion Cotillard, Ewan McGregor, Michele Williams, Matthew Fox, and of course, Gosling, who happens to have started out in The Mickey Mouse Club. He's a little old to play an early Disney (Gosling is 32), but it's still a tempting pick. Do you think a biopic about Walt Disney sounds intriguing? And if you're not down with Witaszek's idea, what would you do differently?

There are at least two good documentries on him. Why do we need a fictionized version of his life? They won't include his "worts" anyway. he was good at what he did and that's fine, no need to "canonize" him like he was something more that a movie making businessman.

    Read "Team Rodent".

The image of Disney is much like a trip to Disneyworld - wonderful and fascinating as long as all you see is the facade, but a look behind the scenes is quite disappointing.

And how can an actor who is 32 have been in the Mickey Mouse Club? That folded when I was in first grade.

I only voted Yes because of all the No's based on very vague info of Disney's "anti-everything" in the 40's. Find me 10 people that weren't (by today's standards) racist, anti-semitic, anti-athiest, anti-christian, etc... in the 40's and I'll show you ten arablackspanic, agnostic, Rabbi.....

Uncle Walt deserved one. At least, this generation's Disney Channel watchers will truly know that the franchise wasn't always about (cacophonous) teen pop stars :D

My reply is really a qualified no. It is that way since what I read of the late animator, director is true I don't to see his biopic. I read one of the pictures he produced "Uncle Remus" was horribly racist. IE insulting, insensitive stereotypes of African Americans. Who were called Negroes back in the late 40s. IE 1946's "Song of the South" Story of Uncle Remus , B'rer Rabbit and other related characters. The controversy of how he treated Bobby Driscoll so shabbily, ie not giving him any gigs. This I read was true of her child stars who were no longer beneficial to Disney's career.

But then again, who doesn't make any mistakes? Positive or negative, he is still one of those who shaped the world into what it is today.

To make a true, good movie about Walt, I feel would be a very positive thing to do, as he was a positive man. And it just may help those that feel no hope...and find out it was always there, within them.

It would be really cool. Disney is arguably the biggest film company in the world. They should totally make a movie about the man who started it all.

Ryan Gossling made a movie with Sandra Bullock in 2002, entitled "Murder by Numbers." He let her get away and did not marry her. He could have saved her from Jesse James. He should therefore, be banned from Hollywood and never allowed to make a movie again.

Yes, but it is funny if you love Sandra! She is America's sweetheart. I am her SodaHead knight in shinning armor.

Actually, they could do worse than Ryan Gosling! Can you just see them giving the role of Walt Disney to Russel Brand? I am also Katy Perry's SodaHead knight in shinning armor.

To me I can see Gosling play a young Disney its all about the research and biography he needs to know to get Disney's young persona I've seen older actors like Zac Efron who is probably going into his early or late 20's to Jason Earles who plays a older brother who is a teen on the tv show Hannah Montana, in real life he's at least thirty five but his character is like an older teenager, its not that hard to pull off, I know your probably going to say to me, "Ew, you watch Hannah Montana" and possibly say its kinda awkward seeing him playing a teenage character, but as an actor it is all about risk taking but other than that I love this poster I'd love to get my hands on it, and for the quote, "All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to persue them" I'm driven and determined and even have that support to go out there and get them! I'm already encouraged right now to begin with! It already opened a door for me.. But this poster is just so inspiring because the look and feel of the emotions in this picture is another way of saying a dream is just a dream but you gotta be awake just to live it! Fake or not I'm still loving this Walt Disney Biopic Poster!
