'Voice' Winner Cassadee Pope Lands Record Deal: Are You a Fan?

I've been listening to her since Hey Monday!!!

Never seen voice and never heard of her....

No offence and to be honest, I don't know who she is.

I was a fan of Hey Monday and I'm a fan of her now.

I was a fan of Hey Monday, but I'm certainly not a fan of her. The way I view the Voice is that it's a show for amateur singers to be exposed to the music industry, which might not have happened otherwise. Cassadee Pope is certainly not an amateur. As the LEAD SINGER of Hey Monday, she and the rest of the band toured the country. They toured with acts like Fall Out Boy, We the Kings, All Time Low, and Cobra Starship. They played at Warped Tour. They even had a record label. She was already exposed to the music industry. So I didn't think it right for her to be on the Voice in the first place. The other contestants didn't have the same exposure like she did. They were truly amateurs.

Look at me ranting as if I actually cared and watched the Voice from the beginning instead of just the finale. I suppose she just wanted to expand her fanbase so she would already have fans before she even released a single. But I don't know. I can't help but feel that she was cheating in some way.

I saw her live back in her Warped Tour days. She has a good voice.
